Rainwalk Rewild Wilderness School in Mount Vernon, WA
Rainwalk Rewild was a wilderness education school I co-founded in the Pacific Northwest, offering nature-based programs for children and adults throughout the Skagit Valley. From 2023–2025, we developed a growing community around foraging, wilderness skills, herbalism, traditional crafts, forest school, and seasonal land-based learning.
As co-founder and Executive Director, I helped build Rainwalk from the ground up — developing curriculum and programs, teaching, managing instructors, cultivating community partnerships, fundraising, and shaping the creative direction of the school. Our programs ranged from children’s summer camps and HomeSkills classes to adult workshops and a multi-month foraging apprenticeship.
Rainwalk closed in 2025, but it remains one of the most formative projects of my career and continues to shape how I think about education, community, and our relationship with the places we live.
